New Year, New Wheels? Choosing the right Car For You

Happy Wednesday Dolls & Gents!

I don’t know about you, but when I want something, I want it now! I’ve had my sweet faithful Ford Focus since I first moved here in 2011, but it’s about to be 2018 and I’m ready for an upgrade!

I tend to make quick decisions due to my lack of patience {work on me Lord} so there are very few things that require extensive consideration for me. I’m the girl who can speed walk through an entire mall in under 30 minutes with either 3 bags full of everything because I knew what I went for, or nothing but my cell phone in one hand and my keys in the other because it took me 2.5 seconds to realize I wasn’t going to find anything.

On the flip side, cars tend to take more time as they rightfully should! It’s such a huge decision and there are a few tips that I’ll be using in the next few weeks while shopping around that I’m happy to share with you just in case a car is on the top of your 2018 NEED LIST. I can’t be the only one with one of those, right?

  • The right site – There are so many car sites out there these days, it can be quite the task figuring out which one is right for you. No worries, Cars.com is the perfect one-stop-shop for all your car needs. Not only can you buy new or used cars, but you can also sell your own car! Simplify your search buy narrowing it down to make, model, year, price range, and zip code for the best results!
  • Research – No important purchase should ever be made without the proper research. It’s so important to look into every aspect of the car buying process {especially if it’s your first car} and figure out what’s best for you. Also, don’t forget to test drive any vehicle you’re interested in to make for a smoother process as well.
  • Budget – Of course, let’s not forget that the number in your bank account is pretty important too. Figure out your budget and STICK TO IT! Don’t make a purchase in the moment that will cause for regrets further down the line. Get something safe yet cost effective that allows you to still be comfortable.

What are some of your tips for buying a car? Don’t forget– nobody’s got you like cars.com got you!

Tiered Maxi Skirt + Ruffle Cami

Happy Monday Dolls & Gents!

Can you believe this week is Thanksgiving?! Time is moving crazy fast and the holiday sales and overly crowded supermarkets are here to stay!

My parents are in town {again lol} so we’ll be having dinner at my in-law’s on Thursday and then flying out to NY on Friday for the weekend.

But until then, a little backstory on this #ootd — One of the many fashion bloggers I follow wore a similar ruffled tiered skirt and I JUST HAD TO HAVE IT! I went to the mall determined to find something similar and h&m had just what I was looking for!

It fits like a glove and when paired with this simple satin ruffle trim top, it’s perfect for any upcoming holiday event.

What are your plans for Thanksgiving? I’d love to know!

Floral Duster Kimono + Distressed Denim

Happy Monday Dolls & Gents!

A brand new week always means a brand new opportunity to press that restart button and accomplish everything you didn’t get to last week. The holiday season is just around the corner which means too much food, much needed family time, and spending an insanely ridiculous amount of money on gifts for everyone you can think of!

I know Spring is long gone, but floral is just one of those prints I can’t give up. But can you blame me? Do you see the beauty that is this duster kimono?! It’s one of those pieces that spoke to me instantly and you already know my obsession with Target, so why not?

I paired it with some fashion nova jeans which btw, are just as amazing as everyone says they are {definitely worth the hype!}

Tie Skirt + Lace Trim Cami

Happy Wednesday Dolls & Gents!

We’re half way through another week and I hope you were able to smash some goals! If not, I hope you at least had some good food, that usually makes up for anything (in my book) 🙂

I’ve been noticing that many clothing pieces have a tie detail which makes for such a stop-and-stare look. Y’all know me, I love simple pieces with just the right bit of details so I’m all here for it! It’s been pretty chilly in Miami lately (which I live for btw), but not enough to bring out the coats and thigh-high boots, just yet.

So for now, I opted to pair the skirt with a simple came with lace trim to allow the skirt to speak for itself.

Then the booties added the perfect finishing touch to balance the oh-so-feminine- with a lil’ edgy.
