Blushing Bride Series: Save the Dates, Bridal Party Proposals & More!

Lifestyle, The Blushing Bride Series

Happy Thursday Dolls & Gents!

I’m finally getting around to launching my new series here on the blog called “The Blushing Bride.” This series will consist of weekly updates (please don’t kill me if I slack off one week) on all things wedding related. For this week, I will be showing you our Save the Dates that have now been sent off as well as the way we popped the question to our bridesmaids and groomsmen.

||Save The Date||

Seeing that our wedding will be in Jamaica, it was very important to get these out as soon as possible so people would have enough time to plan their trip. Luckily enough, my girl Tash came through and designed the entire thing for us which definitely cut some major costs. I definitely recommend using as many resources as you can because trust me, these costs surely do add up! Here’s the final product:

We absolutely adored it! Tash did such a great job understanding my vision & running with it and we can’t thank her enough. She designed it in photoshop in just a few hours and then all I had to do was get them printed. So as you can see our date is set for December 12, 2015 which is one day after my 23rd Birthday! (What a great weekend for me right?)

So before I get into the bridal party proposals, I just wanted to quickly share with you guys what we’ve been working on for the past few weeks– Our Wedding Website! Seeing that we’re having a destination wedding, we definitely needed a place where our guests could view all the details about our big day and lots more at one place. I highly recommend creating a wedding website especially if you’ll be having many out of town guests at your wedding. It’s also a great way to spend some quality time with your partner. Bran and I had so much fun working on it. The site we used to create ours is ||weddingwoo.com|| You should definitely check them out if you’re thinking to go this route. It was super easy to use and extremely inexpensive. There are also tons of free options and templates that you can use such as: ewedding.com, weddingwire.com and weddingpaperdivas.com

Anyhoo, go check out our site at segree2b.com & feel free to tell us what you think!

Now moving on to the fun stuff. I know most people are accustomed to a simple phone call asking to be apart of a friend’s wedding. But, if you know me you already know that’s just not my style. So I knew I wanted to give my girls a card asking them to be apart of my big day, but a card just wasn’t enough! So I thought why not just make a box filled with the card and other little trinkets??  Here’s what I came up with:

So keep in mind I had to make 8 of these! (Yes I have that many best friends, Lol) But here’s what I included:

– Will you be my bridesmaid card– Source: crafty morning.com under DIY Gift Ideas

– Printed Photo of the both of us together

– Tissues with cute Phrase, Earbuds, Nail Kit Pouch and Essie Nail Polish that they should wear on the big day.

I finally got all the boxes delivered to my girls and they all loved it! This can definitely be achieved on a low budget once you know where to go. I got most of my supplies from Michaels and would definitely recommend checking out your local craft store if you’d like to try something similar.

Now for the guys– Initially Bran wanted to send them a nice card asking them to be his groomsman. But he quickly changed his mind once he saw what I was doing! Lol. So he came up with the creative idea of getting wood and carving the question out on each of them. At first I was completely against it, but once I saw it I was pretty impressed. He asked in different ways based on which of his friends it was so they were all quite funny to read.

These are just three out of the 8 he had to do as well, but he worked hard on them and it was quite a challenge getting them done. Super proud of you babe!

Everything he used including the Wood Burner was also purchased at Michaels.

Well, I won’t give everything away in the first post so make sure to subscribe to the blog to get an instant notification whenever I post next. You won’t want to miss what I’m sharing next week!

*Hint: Say Yes To ________ ! (If you guessed it, I can’t wait either!)

Until Next Time…

xoxo
