Chocolate Skin Make Up Routine

Beauty

Hi Loves! I’ve been meaning to do this post for quite some time now, but seeing that I never like to speak on products that I haven’t been using for a while– I decided to wait a bit until my routine was more set in stone. With that being said, don’t be fooled — I’m by no means a make up expert or even close! I can distinctly remember in my younger years only putting on make up when I was forced to do so at all my dance shows. Other than that, the only make up I wore was eyeliner and those glossy roller lip glosses that every girl owned (Don’t act like you don’t remember, Lol)

But anyhoo, I’ve mentioned before that I’m just now starting to play around with make up and I’m absolutely loving it! Of course, I’m no drag queen by any stretch of the imagination so I’m still keeping it pretty simple and natural. I still haven’t introduced eye shadows to my eye lids partly because I’m kinda sorta afraid, but mostly because I wouldn’t even know how to put it on. Lol, But I have a feeling I’ll be trying some soon.

For a long time ALL I wore was face powder and lipstick– NOTHING ELSE. However, a few months ago I really started to amp my look up. After all, a girl’s gotta keep slaying right?! But even with all this, my routine is still pretty BASIC.

I start out with a primer to ensure that my make up stays on longer as well as allows for a better make up application. I then go on to my foundation which I absolutely LOVE! It’s the perfect shade for me and literally feels like I have nothing on my face. I set my foundation with my all time fav powder by Clinique which just ensures that your foundation isn’t slippin’ and slidin’ all over your face. The next step is under eye concealing which is totally optional. I personally only do this for my blog shoots or if I have a special occasion. It definitely brightens up the entire face and translates beautifully in pictures. It’s also extremely important to set your concealer with a setting powder to decrease the chances of under eye creasing. Then we move on to all my brow fanatics who always gotta have their browns on the fleekiest level of fleek! I’m still working on getting like y’all, but for now I simply fill in my brows followed by my same concealer to clean them up as needed. To finish off, I use some blush, bronzer and mascara just to be extra. Lol. Finally, add some setting spray to hold everything in place! Here’s a full list of all my current products:
